Discipleship

Altar Guild

The Altar Guild prepares for all church services, Holy Eucharist, Morning Prayer, Baptisms, weddings and funerals. Five teams of able, willing workers take turns each week performing these duties. Click here for the Altar Guild schedule.

Audio Guild

This ministry runs the audio and recording system for the 10:30 service, making duplicates for shut-ins and by request. The audio guild supplies the audio for the Sermons page of this Web site, along with providing musical recordings for our Music Ministry. Click here for their schedule. Contact for information.

Acolytes

The Acolyte class presently consists of twenty-three boys and girls with worshipful hearts, willing to serve God and St. Matthew's. They regularly demonstrate great dedication to their ministry as they strive to improve their technique and conscientiously perform their duties. Click here to view their schedule.

Lay Liturgical Leadership

Lay Liturgical Leadership consists of twenty parishioners trained as both lectors and chalice bearers who rotate through all Sunday services. They also serve at funerals, weddings and baptisms. Library

The Library supports the various educational efforts of the church by maintaining a well organized and diverse selection of books. Included in that collection are children, juvenile and young adult non-fiction and fiction plus a variety of reference, inspirational and theological resources, along with cassette tapes. The library continues to be a warm and welcoming gathering place for Bible study groups, committees, preschool children at story time, classes, brides and their attendants, and Christmas Pageant actors!

Usher's Guild

The purpose of the Ushers Guild is to assist during the worship service by seating guests, taking the offering, bringing the elements to the altar and by delivering flowers to shut-ins after the principal service.The Guild is divided into seven teams with each team serving six to eight times a year. The members also volunteer for funerals and special events. Both men and women are welcome to join this Guild. Click here for the usher's guild schedule.
